Zyloprim Interactions

ACE inhibitors, antacids, and diuretics are some of the medications that may negatively interact with Zyloprim. Drug interactions such as these may alter the amount of the medications in your blood, increasing your risk of potentially serious side effects. To reduce your chances of Zyloprim interactions, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are currently taking.

Zyloprim® (allopurinol) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to Zyloprim drug interactions include:

  • Mercaptopurine (Purinethol®)
  • Warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®).
