Side Effects of Trospium

Constipation, dry mouth, and headache are the most commonly reported side effects of trospium. Generally, side effects are mild and either don't require treatment or can be treated easily. There are, however, certain trospium side effects that are potentially serious and that should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, including worsening of glaucoma, difficulty urinating, and severe constipation.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with trospium chloride (Sanctura®); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
