What Is Tolterodine Used For? (Cont.)

Tolterodine Uses in Children

Tolterodine is not approved for use in children. In studies, treating children with tolterodine ER (the long-acting form of the drug) increased the risk of aggression, hyperactivity, or abnormal behavior. Talk to your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using the drug in children.

Off-Label Tolterodine Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend tolterodine for treating something other than an overactive bladder. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label tolterodine uses.
