Tobramycin and dexamethasone is manufactured by Alcon Laboratories, Inc. It is sold under the brand name Tobradex. Generic tobramycin and dexamethasone suspension is made by several different manufacturers.
 

Strengths of Tobramycin and Dexamethasone

Tobramycin and dexamethasone comes in one strength, with 0.3 percent tobramycin and 0.1 percent dexamethasone. It comes in both an eye ointment and an eye suspension (drops). A different strength of the suspension, known as Tobradex ST, has been approved but is not commercially available at this time. Tobradex ST contains a lower strength of the dexamethasone (0.05 percent).
