The causes of this disease are not understood. Stress, hormone levels, and other factors may all play a role. What's more, chronic fatigue can be a symptom of many other conditions, from fibromyalgia, to lupus, to cancer.
Treatment is varied and will depend largely on your individual situation. One of the things your healthcare provider may recommend is to try and improve your sleep habits.
