Depo-Testosterone Medication Information

Depo®-Testosterone (testosterone cypionate) is a drug prescribed to increase levels of testosterone in men and adolescent boys age 12 and older. It comes as an injection that is usually given in the gluteal muscle. It is made in a special oil formulation, which allows the medicine to slowly be absorbed into the bloodstream over a period of two to four weeks.
 
Although it is generally well tolerated, this product is not suitable for everyone. Before using Depo-Testosterone, make sure your healthcare provider has current information on your medical history and a list of any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking. Also, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you have any existing allergies or medical conditions, such as infertility, sleep apnea, or heart disease.
