Cutivate Ointment Drug Information

Available by prescription only, Cutivate Ointment® (fluticasone propionate ointment) is a medication used in the treatment of several skin conditions that cause inflammation. These conditions include poison ivy, dermatitis, and allergic reactions, among others. A thin layer of the medication is applied to the affected area(s) of the skin twice daily for no longer than four weeks.
 
Prior to beginning treatment with Cutivate Ointment, inform your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking (including vitamins and supplements) and any other medical conditions you have, such as Cushing's disease, or if you are undergoing chemotherapy. This will help reduce the risk of drug interactions and ensure a safe, effective treatment process.
