Common Side Effects of Rivastigmine

This way, it is possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the group who took the placebo.

In these studies, the most common side effects of rivastigmine included:

  • Nausea -- in up to 47 percent of people
  • Vomiting -- up to 31 percent
  • Dizziness -- up to 21 percent
  • Diarrhea -- up to 19 percent
  • Loss of appetite -- up to 17 percent
  • Headaches -- up to 17 percent
  • Abdominal pain (stomach pain) -- up to 13 percent
  • Accidental injury -- up to 10 percent
  • Shakiness (tremor) -- up to 10 percent.
