Side Effects of Risedronate Delayed-Release

In clinical studies, commonly reported risedronate delayed-release side effects included joint pain, back pain, and stomach pain. If problems occur, they are usually mild and easily treated. However, there are potentially serious side effects to report to your healthcare provider, such as severe heartburn, severe heart pain, and unexplained hives or a rash.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with risedronate delayed-release (Atelvia™). However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
