Pramipexole ER

Pramipexole ER tablets are prescribed to treat Parkinson's disease. This medication works by stimulating a specific brain chemical called dopamine. Because it is a long-acting medication, it is only taken once a day. You may not be able to take this drug if you have certain medical conditions, such as kidney disease, low blood pressure, or certain allergies.

What Is Pramipexole ER?

Pramipexole ER (Mirapex® ER™) is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It is a long-acting, once-daily version of an older Parkinson's disease medication.

Are There Side Effects?

As with any medicine, pramipexole ER can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. Most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
