Drug Interactions With Pramipexole ER
Several medications can cause negative drug interactions with pramipexole ER, including antipsychotic medications, diltiazem, and medicines that contain levodopa. Some of these interactions could increase your risk of side effects or other complications. An Overview of Pramipexole ER InteractionsPramipexole ER (Mirapex® ER™) can potentially interact with a number of other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with pramipexole ER include but are not limited to:
- Cimetidine (Tagamet®)
- Diltiazem (Cardizem®, Cardizem CD®, Cardizem LA®, Cartia XT®, Dilacor XR®, Dilt-CD®, Diltia XT®, Dilt-XR®, Taztia XT®, Tiazac®)
- Medications that contain levodopa (Parcopa®, Sinemet®, Sinemet® CR, Stalevo®)
- Metoclopramide (Reglan®)
- Pramipexole (Mirapex®)
- Ranitidine (Zantac®)
- Triamterene (Dyrenium®) or triamterene/HCTZ (Dyazide®, Maxzide®)
- Verapamil (Calan®, Calan SR®, Covera-HS®, Isoptin SR®, Verelan®, Verelan PM®).
