While most people do not experience any problems with nitroglycerin (Minitran™, Nitro-Bid®, Nitro-Dur®, Nitrolingual®, NitroMist®, Nitrostat®, Rectiv™), side effects are possible. Headaches are the most notable side effect of nitroglycerin. Other possible problems include a sore throat, weakness, and a runny nose. If you develop potentially serious reactions, such as difficulty breathing or blue skin, contact your healthcare provider right away.
