Menomune Drug Interactions

Menomune Drug Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when Menomune is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
Caution should be taken when giving intramuscular injections (including Menomune) to people on anticoagulant medications (commonly known as "blood thinners"). Make sure your healthcare providers (including the person actually giving the injection) know that you are taking an anticoagulant before receiving any intramuscular injection.
If you are taking an immunosuppressant, you may not receive the full benefit of Menomune, since the immune system may not be fully capable of responding to the vaccine.
In addition, with some vaccines (especially live ones), people taking immunosuppressants may be at a higher risk of actually developing a mild form of the infection from the vaccine. However, because Menomune is not a live vaccine, this is not a problem.

Final Thoughts

It is possible that not all interactions were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any specific drug interactions with Menomune that may apply to you.
