Many drugs can interact with alendronate effervescent tablets, including antacids, certain vitamins and supplements, and NSAIDs. Taking these products with an alendronate effervescent tablet may reduce its effectiveness or lead to other complications. To minimize your risk, tell your healthcare provider about all vitamins, supplements, and medicines you are taking, including nonprescription ones.

An Overview of Alendronate Effervescent Tablet Interactions

Alendronate effervescent tablets (Binosto™) may react with a number of other products. Some of the drugs that can interact with alendronate effervescent tablets include but are not limited to:
 
  • Aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as:
    • Amikacin (Amikin®)
    • Gentamicin
    • Kanamycin (Kantrex®)
    • Neomycin (Neo-Fradin®)
    • Streptomycin
    • Tobramycin
