What Is Alendronate Effervescent Tablet?

Alendronate effervescent tablets contain the same active ingredient as Fosamax® (alendronate), but are an effervescent tablet that dissolves in water. This makes the drug a good choice for people who have difficulty swallowing pills. It belongs to a group of medicines known as bisphosphonates.
