Ibuprofen/Famotidine
Ibuprofen/famotidine is a prescription drug licensed to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, while also preventing stomach and upper intestinal ulcers. The ibuprofen component of this drug is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which works to reduce inflammation. The famotidine blocks histamine in the stomach to reduce stomach acid and prevent ulcers. Heartburn, diarrhea, and nausea are possible side effects.
Ibuprofen/famotidine (Duexis™) is a prescription medication approved for the treatment of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis; it can also help prevent stomach and upper intestinal ulcers. It contains a medication to relieve pain and inflammation (ibuprofen), along with an ingredient to reduce the risk of ulcers due to ibuprofen (famotidine).

Just like any medicine, ibuprofen/famotidine may cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
