Ginko

Were you looking for information about Ginkgo? Ginko is a common misspelling of ginkgo.

Ginkgo (ginkgo biloba) is an herbal supplement used for a wide variety of reasons, such as improving memory and mental functioning. It appears to also have blood-thinning properties, and may help to prevent cell damage. There are several other theoretical effects of the product that have been demonstrated in laboratory studies but not yet in humans.

Although it is a "natural" substance, side effects are still possible. Common side effects include dizziness, headaches, and an upset stomach. Because ginkgo is a dietary supplement, not a "drug," the best doses have not been thoroughly established. Make sure to follow the specific instructions on your particular product.
