Drug Interactions With Fesoterodine

A number of medicines may cause fesoterodine drug interactions, including pramlintide, protease inhibitors, other anticholinergic drugs, and certain antifungals or antibiotics. Some of these drug interactions can increase your risk for developing side effects (such as dry mouth, constipation, dry eyes, or difficulty passing urine), while others can increase the medication levels in your blood.

An Overview of Fesoterodine Interactions

Fesoterodine fumarate (Toviaz) can potentially interact with a few other medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with fesoterodine include:
 
  • Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor medications, including:

 

 

  • Anticholinergic drugs, such as:

 

 

  • Certain antifungals or antibiotics, such as:

 

    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)
