Testosterone Enanthate Effects

Testosterone enanthate (Delatestryl®) is a prescription testosterone replacement. It is approved for treating certain causes of low testosterone in men. It is also approved to help treat breast cancer in women in certain cases.

This medication is not taken by mouth. Rather, testosterone enanthate is given as an injection, as it would have little effect on testosterone levels if taken by mouth. When testosterone is injected into a muscle, it bypasses the liver, allowing significant amounts of the hormone to reach the bloodstream.

This medication has been shown to be an effective method for increasing testosterone to a normal level. However, as an anabolic steroid, it is considered a controlled substance; special rules and regulations surround its use.
