If your healthcare provider prescribes
Androderm® (
testosterone patch), you may be wondering if you can cut the patches before applying them on the skin.
It is important to not use a cut or damaged patch. In addition, make sure the patch is applied to a clean, dry area of the skin on the back, stomach, upper arms, or thighs. Do not apply it to the same area of the skin more than once a week.
Each Androderm patch should be applied every evening, between 8 p.m. and midnight. Try to apply it at the same time each night. Avoid putting it on irritated skin, open sores, or bony areas that may be subject to pressure when you sleep or sit.
