There is only one standard recommended dose for this medication, regardless of your age or weight. As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.

What If I Take an Overdose of This Drug?
An overdose with alendronate effervescent tablets may cause low blood calcium or phosphate levels, as well as a variety of stomach and intestinal symptoms. If you happen to take too much of this medication, drink a full glass of milk and seek immediate medical attention. Do not try to vomit the medication up or lie down, as alendronate effervescent tablets can irritate the esophagus.

Alendronate effervescent tablets should be stored at room temperature in the original blister package until ready for use. Keep the product away from moisture. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you forget to take a dose of alendronate effervescent tablets, simply take your missed dose the morning after you remember, and then continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a missed dose later in the day, and do not take two doses of this medication on the same day.
